GET REAL WITH GOD
It's time to get real with God before it's too late! If God is real then it is our job to search for Him and find out all about Him, including what He wants us to do. It's not good enough to make guesses about God. We will never find Him that way. Keep on reading this and you will find out some amazing facts about God that you probably have never read before.
What are the common ideas about God?
First we need to list some of the common guesses made about God:
God is a myth.
God did not create us - evolution did.
God does not care about us.
God is cruel.
There is no soul or spirit - man is just an advanced ape. When he dies that's it.
Do you agree this is just a guess? You have no proof that man is just an advanced ape and has no soul. Don't you think it is important to find out if you have a soul and a spirit that goes somewhere after you die? It's too late to find out afterwards. Now is your chance. Don't base your future upon guesswork. We are telling you that you can know for sure about eternity and where you will be going and it's all good news IF you keep on searching for God.
The argument goes: If God is so great He would step in and solve all the world's problems. So because He doesn't I am going to carry on as if He is not there or couldn't care less about me.
There are huge problems with thinking this way. This is using man's logic. This is thinking from a world bound by time and not eternity. If eternity exists then we have to stop guessing and start doing some honest searching.
Also we have to stop assuming that there is no one higher than us. To place ourselves as masters is foolish if there is someone above us who made us and wants us for some reason.
If He is not happy with the way we have taken over our own lives that makes this need to find out about Him all the more urgent.

What is the Truth about God?
OK it's time to start on this great adventure.
First we will present you with the good news (the gospel). Then we will give you plenty of evidence so you can trust in this good news. No guesswork, no pie in the sky, you'll be surprised how much God has given to those who bother to search for Him and the results are astounding: a brand new life full of love, joy and peace with the promise of eternal life with God after you die.
Most Australians have not heard the good news about God clearly. They have heard rumours and distortions or they have heard it second hand from some biased anti-God dude who has no solid evidence to back up his argument. There is so much of this stuff floating around these days but you don't have to be taken in by it.
Ask yourself: do these guys have any evidence for this stuff or is just sentimental or bitter garbage? This thing is too important to leave out there in never-never land. Come on, be brave and investigate it properly: check out the real evidence and don't base your whole present and future life upon feeling and innuendo.
Some people also say there can't be just one way to God - that would not be fair. But that is making another guess with no back up. The only thing you can do to answer this is to check the ways out and find out which one is the way to God. We have done this but after you read this please check out the others using the tests we will show you are needed to find out if God is real or not.
If God is real He is not going to leave us down here with no idea of who He is. He has provided so much evidence that He is real and that He loves us and has a plan for each of us if we are willing to accept it. He has proved He is eternal and all powerful by giving us news of what is coming up before it happens. This is called prophecy and is a major test you should use to find out if God is real.
Prophecy is a major part of the Bible which is God's way of showing us what He is like.

There are many more tests which we will give you if you ask for them but if you just put these two to work on other books and ideas about God you will see what we mean -there is only one way to God.
So what is this gospel (good news) that we will test to show you God is real? We will use the Bible to help us search for God and test that too.
God is eternal while we live in the time zone for just a short time.
God created all things. If you don't believe that there is no point going any further till you work on that one.

God loves His creation and has made man to look like Him, with a body a soul and a spirit. Genesis 1:26
God made us to search for Him and promises great rewards for doing so. God has given us an inbuilt hunger for Him. John 10:10,"The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy but I have come to give you a life that is life to the full."
Isaiah 55:1-9 "Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink -even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk - it's all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul! Come to Me with your ears wide open. Listen, for the life of your soul is at stake. I am ready to make an eternal agreement with you. ...Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near. Turn from wicked ways and throw out every thought of doing wrong. Turn to the Lord and He will have mercy on you."

Deuteronomy 4:29 "If you search for Him with all your heart and soul you will find Him."
God has given us a conscience (con = with, science = knowledge) so that we walk around with knowledge about right and wrong choices.
Hebrews 10:22, "Let us go near to God with true hearts fully trusting in Him. For our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water."
God has given His marvelous creation of intricate complexity and beauty, intelligently designed to show people His power and love. Romans 1:20 "From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature, so they have no excuse whatever for not knowing God."
God has an enemy, Satan, who is the leader of the fallen angels. Satan convinced the first people, Adam and Eve, to rebel against God and take fruit from the tree of knowledge between good and evil. Genesis 3:4-5: "You won't die!" the serpent hissed. "God knows that your eyes will be opened when you eat it. You will become just like God, knowing everything, both good and evil." Most people choose to live a life without God because they believe Satan's lie that they can be as gods themselves.
This choice is the sin of pride which leads to other sins - stealing, swearing, drunkenness, sleeping around, gluttony, murder, etc. This is called coming short of God's target. Romans 3:10-18: As the Scriptures say, "No one is good - not even one. No one has real understanding; no one is seeking God. All have turned away from God; all have done wrong. No one does good, not even one. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their speech is filled with lies. The poison of a deadly snake drips from their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. They are quick to commit murder. Wherever they go, misery and destruction follow them. They do not know what true peace is. THEY HAVE NO FEAR OF GOD TO RESTRAIN THEM." Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
God turns His back on all who persist in this life and sends then to eternity away from Him called hell.
Psalm 9:17: "The wicked shall be turned into hell."

God does not want anyone to go there so He sent His Son Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life healing people and performing miracles like turning water into wine and feeding 5000 people with 5 rolls and 2 fish. Because He called Himself God they executed Him on a cross. |
He gave His life up willingly for you so that if you believe that He died for you and put your total confidence in Him His Father God will be satisfied and accept you as His child. When you die you will be taken to be with God in heaven for eternity. John 3:16-17 "God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved."
Romans 5:8-10: "God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God's judgment. For since we were brought back to friendship with God by the death of His Son while we were still enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by His life."
When you accept Jesus as your savior He becomes your master. Your desire will be to please God by doing His will (what He wants). His will is for you to love "the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: " You shall love your neighbor [other people] as yourself." (Jesus said this in Matthew 22:37-39 etc.)
There are many phonies and deceived people today who say they are Christians but never show real love to anybody. They will not be saved unless they change and choose Jesus as master of their lives. 1 John 4:20: "If anyone says, 'I love God', but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we have not seen?" These people bring down the name of Christianity. But there are plenty of great examples of strong Christians everywhere who love God and others. It depends on who you choose to look at and hang out with. Luke 6:46: Jesus says, "So why do you call me Lord when you don't obey Me?"
The true Christian is rewarded with a life of love, joy and peace in this life and life forever with God after death. John 10:10: Jesus says, "The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy but I have come to give you life to the full."
How can you know this is true?
How do you know this is all fair dinkum? You need to test what we have just told you. Here are some prophecies in the Old Testament written hundreds of years before Jesus was born which clearly show Jesus is the Son of God sent to save you from hell. It also shows God is real and eternal (He comes from another dimension and knows everything that will happen) and the Bible is true.
Birth of Jesus
Micah 5:2: "But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village in Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past."
Isaiah 7:14: "Look! The virgin shall have a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel - 'God is with us.'"
Life of Jesus
Isaiah 9:1-2: " ...there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory. The people who walk in darkness will see a great light - a light that will shine on all who live in the land where death casts its shadow."
Isaiah 11:10: "In that day the heir to David's throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world."
Isaiah 28:16: " This is what the Sovereign Lord says: "Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem. It is firm, a tested and precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never run away again."
Isaiah 42:1-9: " Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, and I am pleased with him. I have put my Spirit on Him. He will reveal justice to the nations. He will be gentle - he will not shout or raise his voice in public. He will not crush those who are weak or quench the smallest hope. He will bring full justice to all who have been wronged. He will not stop until truth and righteousness prevail throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction."

And it is he who says, " I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will guard and support you, for I have given you to my people as the personal confirmation of my agreement with them. And you will be a light to guide all nations to me. You will open the eyes of the blind and free the captives from prison. You will release those who sit in dark dungeons. I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else. I will not share my praise with carved idols. Everything I prophesied has come true, and now I will prophesy again. I will tell you the future before it happens."

Crucifixion: Psalm 22:18: "They divide my clothes among themselves and throw dice for my garments." (The Roman soldiers did this at the cross.) |
Isaiah 53:3-6: "He was despised and rejected - a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way when He went by. He was despised and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for His own sins. But He was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed. All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him the guilt and sins of all of us."
Psalm 118:22-23: "The stone rejected by the builders has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous to see."
It's time to get real with God!
There are over 300 texts like these predicting the life and death of Jesus in the Old Testament accurately. Ask yourself: How can this happen unless God is in control?
There are also lots of prophesies about the future of nations and even about now and our future.
| For example Daniel was given the meaning of a dream about a statue by Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon that was accurately fulfilled: the head of gold was the Babylonian empire, the upper body of silver was the Persian kingdom, the belly and thighs of bronze was the Greek kingdom, the iron legs was the Roman kingdom and the feet and toes of iron and clay is the modern world. Are you convinced there is something worth checking out? It is OK to still have doubts, as long as you are still searching for God. Don't fall for the tricks of the enemy, who tells you that you need to stay with the crowd, you will be laughed at and ridiculed. Ask yourself: Do they have any facts to support their bold stand against God? They cannot prove that we are all made by blind chance and there is no life after death so they resort to joking about it.
Jesus said this is what happens: "Broad is the road that leads to destruction and there are many who go in by it. But narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to eternal life, and there are few who find it." Matthew 7:13-14.
